Marvin McIntyre is a graduate of the Citadel and a Vietnam Veteran. He began his career as a financial advisor with Legg Mason and rose to be the firm’s top advisor and Chairman of the Advisory Council. As a member of Legg Mason Wood Walker, Inc. board of directors, he was instrumental in the growth of the firm from a small regional firm to one of the most respected global asset managers in the industry. In 2006, Mr. McIntyre was acknowledged as one of the key figures in the acquisition of Legg Mason’s brokerage division by Citi Smith Barney.

While at Legg Mason, Mr. McIntyre established the High Net Worth Group, a team of highly regarded professionals to effectively serve the complex needs of wealthy families, institutions, and corporations. The group of individuals, which were ranked as the number 2 team in the country by Research Magazine, includes a tax attorney, CFA, CFP, CIMA, Retirement Planning specialists, fixed income specialists, and a former investment banker. The same team remains intact and is now known as The Capitol Wealth Management Group at Morgan Stanley.

Throughout a long and celebrated career in wealth management, Mr. McIntyre has been consistently recognized as one of the industry’s most innovative and forward thinking professionals. In outside pursuits, he has recently authored two well-received fiction novels in which all profits were donated to charities promoting literacy and the Wounded Warrior Project.
