COVID-19 and REAL ESTATE CLOSINGS

Covid-19 is impacting each one of us as individuals and as communities, in unprecedented ways. Given the rapidly changing environment and our goal in keeping our clients, employees and the general public safe, all of us at Woods, Weidenmiller, Michetti & Rudnick, LLP have decided to limit in person meetings to only those which are essential to continuing our representation of our clients. Therefore, any real estate closings, meetings and loan signings which can be accomplished via remote electronic means will be conducted through the use of online notaries, docusign or other means of electronic signature and communication. Should individuals need to attend a closing at our offices only the parties to the transaction and those individuals which are required to sign documents in order to consummate the transaction will be permitted to attend closings. All real estate commissions, will be mailed to the real estate brokerage companies upon consummation of the transaction. Should you wish to have your funds and/or commissions wired we will provide you with disbursement authorization forms which will require your signature and returned to the office via email or fax. Please note all those wishing to have their funds and/or commission wired must provide a telephone number so that we can confirm the accuracy of those instructions. If we are unable to verify the instructions via telephone we will mail you or your brokerage company a trust account check.
