Developer Representation

Back to all Practice Areas

The representation of real estate developers is a large component of the firm’s real estate practice. The real estate team at Woods, Weidenmiller, Michetti & Rudnick, LLP has experience counseling real estate owners and developers in virtually every type of real estate project, including major land assemblies and the development of office buildings, hotels, multifamily apartment buildings, shopping centers, subdivisions, condominiums (residential and nonresidential), office and business parks, planned unit developments, mixed-use developments, resorts, industrial property and marinas. The firm also provides strategies to clients to enhance their real estate developments by utilizing the vast experience of its attorneys.

The firm provides the full range of services typically needed by developers, including land acquisition, title services, land use and governmental approvals, financing and commercial and residential leasing. We represent developers in all aspects of the development process, including securing zoning and subdivision approvals, negotiating development agreements with municipalities, environmental permits from federal and state authorities, and preparing comprehensive covenants, conditions and restrictions, easements, reciprocal easement agreements, management agreements and other documents necessary to create new developments.

In addition, our attorneys have experience representing institutional lenders and developers in various forms of commercial financing transactions.  This experience gives our attorneys a unique ability to advise to clients in connection with the structuring and financing of development. In this regard, we have formed various corporate entities and partnerships as well as negotiated joint venture agreements, partnerships, owner participation agreements, strategic alliances, disposition and development agreements, subdivision improvement agreements and development agreements for both single phase and large scale multi-phase projects.

We’re small enough to listen, and big enough to help.
